The BT4Europe «Facts & Figures» project was initiated to gather comprehensive and relevant economic data to support BT4Europe’s lobbying activities with various institutions. A dedicated working group was established to identify potential partners and oversee the execution of a market research project through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process.. A data supply agreement was put in place with The Data Exchange on June 1st, 2023, and The Data Exchange delivered 2022 and 2023 travel data for the countries in scope of the project (member’s countries). Although their capability to deliver the expected data was not fully met, and there was limited access to comprehensive market travel data compared to initial expectations, the exercise o ered valuable learning opportunities. Despite facing challenges such as the complexity of acquiring accurate business travel data and limited nancial resources, the project provided valuable learnings and insights. These insights will be instrumental in reconsidering the medium/long-term BT4Europe strategy for market facts and gures.
